Here at Biagio Santo everyone has a role, a specific specialization, through which it is possible to render the product unique both in it's finishing and precious workmanship. All items are entirely handcrafted and the manufacturing process is linked to sartorial traditions of our land. Although every step of production is carried out by a different person, entirely by hand, the manufacturing process has a thread of continuity. Giving each production step to a different person means that each tailor or seamstress is the guarantor of the next step, and with their personal touch and point of view contribute towards improving the product, giving it value and character.

Steps

The first stage of production is a unique and essential step of the whole manufacturing process: the correct positioning of the patterns on the fabric, rigorously on a 45 degrees bias angle, ensure that the following stages of production will be precise and correct. Biagio Santo's products are always designed and cut singularly, because every design is unique and requires careful attention, furthermore the use of traditional scissors ensures the right cut. At this stage the correct "interlining" is chosen to match the shell fabric, always bearing in mind the different requirements of our customers.

Hemming the tips is carried out by specialized seamstresses, using a UNIQUE technique which has been refined throughout the years.

Stitching together lengthwise the silk shell to the interlining gives the required SHAPE and guarantees the right elasticity, which is fundamental for tying the right knot. Embroidery, made with very refined technique and great sewing DELICACY, guarantees resistance in closing the flaps and an unique style.

Quality control is stringent on every single item we manufacture; cross checking measurements, checking for eventual left over pins inside the necktie and detailed examination of the fabric.
